Trustee Vacancies

Trustee Vacancies

We are seeking up to four new Trustees to expand our Board in readiness for the next phase of our development. In the coming years, we are planning to significantly increase our range of services and sources of income. As part of this new strategic focus, and to ensure a balance of skills and experience on the Board, we are particularly looking to recruit Trustees from within South Kent with a background in one of the following areas:

  • Digital transformation experience, and good IT skills and expertise.
  • Legal experience, particularly within the social care, health and voluntary sectors.
  • Experience of fundraising and income generation.
  • Financial and general management.

If you don’t have these skills but you believe that your background could be useful to us and you are interested in joining our board, please do still get in touch. Previous board/trustee experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. We particularly welcome applicants from black and minority ethnic groups, to address under-representation amongst these groups.

As a trustee, you will be joining Folkestone & District Mind at a critical time as we have recently appointed our new Chief Executive and are about to develop our new strategy. You will have the opportunity to be a key player in our development with the potential to create real impact for and with people with mental health problems.

Trustee roles are voluntary but out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.

We need people who can help us realise our ambitious plans and who are able to positively support the organisation as it embarks on a new chapter. We are looking for people with a passion for improving mental health to support the charity’s governance and overall strategic direction.

If you feel you fit the bill, email our Chairman, Paul Curd, on to request a recruitment pack which has more detail of the role and person specification, or contact Paul at the same address if you would like a confidential discussion about the application process or for more information about being a Trustee.
