Time to Talk Day took place on 6th Feb with the aim of encouraging people to be open about mental health, to talk and to listen.
Abercrombie’s Community Kitchen was buzzing with people and chatter with the event providing a fantastic opportunity to talk with members, partners we work with and future partners.
We were fortunate to welcome Barry and Matt from Shepway Sports Trust to join in with discussions about the benefits of exercise and mental health. We were also joined by Tania from Creative Folkestone who talked about the benefits of creative time and mental health. Melissa from Surestart came along to promote the work we do together in our Parent Group and Chair of the Members’ Forum, Martin, attended in support of the event.
To round off the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome the very talented singer-songwriter Autumn Willow (pictured) whose performance, about her mental health and journey of self-discovery, was not only beautiful but honest and courageous too.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended in support of Time to Talk.
