To celebrate World Mental Health Day we’ve put together a fantastic programme of performers showcasing their creativity on Creative Folkestone’s Performance Plinth at Payers Park, Folkestone on Saturday 10th October 1pm-3pm.
Join us for music and poetry in the autumnal sunshine (hopefully!) and help us support World Mental Health Day, the most important one yet. After all everyone’s been through this year, it’s more important than ever to start prioritising our mental health and look to ways we can improve our wellbeing.
From Friday 18 September to Sunday 8 November 2020, vacant plinths will be placed around Folkestone. Creative Folkestone are inviting you to get creative and find a plinth to display your artistic creations.
South Kent Mind’s Craft Group have been been working with Creative Folkestone to create sculptures to display on the plinths. Our Creative Reading & Writing for Wellbeing Group have also been working hard, producing some amazing poetry that will be showcased on the Performance Plinth on Saturday 10th. The theme of the poems is noticing nature because we all feel that nature has been such a huge support to us all through these difficult times.
We hope to see you there!
