Facebook Fundraisers: cause for celebration
Hundreds Raised
6 South Kent Mind supporters have raised an incredible £411.37. This was achieved in the first few months of 2021, during Lockdown, by hosting #facebookfundraisers. Carla, Dan, Jess and Alistair all opted for birthday fundraisers. Abbey set up a fundraiser to coincide with her participation in Dry March. And Marc simply showed his support for South Kent Mind and helped fund the work we do.
Facebook Fundraisers
Facebook has over a billion active daily users. The free social media platform has made it increasingly easy to raise funds for good causes. In minutes, it is possible to use their free Fundraiser and Donate tools to create a fundraiser. This can then be shared across your social media network and your friends’ too.
With our shop still closed, the events calendar sparse and collection boxes largely inaccessible, every Facebook fundraiser will have an impact. Just £10 will fund a counselling session. £15 will cover a session of person-centred planning and £25 will deliver a Coping with Life workshop.
Anniversaries
As individuals or organisations, we all have key dates which we want to celebrate or mark. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary or a significant milestone. As the challenges of lockdown and social distancing continue in 2021, now really is the time to host your very own Facebook Fundraiser. Involve and inspire family, friends and supporters and ask them to get behind your Facebook fundraiser.
To help you get started with your Facebook Fundraiser, we have updated our ‘get Involved’ section to include a Fundraising on Facebook page which you can access by clicking on the button below.
With almost quarter of a million residents living in the South Kent area we would have real cause for celebration if just a fraction of that number chose to host a Facebook fundraiser.
