We are pleased to offer some practical free-of-charge workshops and courses this Spring via Zoom:

Coping with Life Workshops

Understanding Anxiety Workshop, Friday 9 April 4 – 5.30pm:
Strangely enough – we do need some level of anxiety in our lives. Join this theory and chat session to learn about why we have anxiety, why it is sometimes helpful and begin to understand how to go about managing anxiety.

Food & Mood Workshop, Tuesday 13 April 11am -12pm:
We are what we eat and what we eat really can affect our mood. Let us take a look at what might help.

Healthy Sleep Workshop, Tuesday 20 April 11am-12pm:
This workshop aims to help us to set a practice to work towards a good sleep pattern. Refreshing sleep sets us up for the day.

Goal Setting & Problem Solving Workshop, Tuesday 27 April, 11am-12pm:
An hour spent exploring a realistic way to work through issues – worth every minute.

Self-Esteem Workshop, Friday 7 May 4-5pm: Our Self Esteem is important. How we feel about ourselves can be changed – we’ll take a look at what we can do to raise our Self Esteem.

Assertiveness & Confidence Workshop, Friday 14 May 4-5pm: Let us take a look at improving Confidence and Assertiveness. It’s got to be a good thing for everyone – first steps in beginning to work on confidence and being assertive.

Mindfulness Courses

Studies have  shown that Mindful Living can help improve our wellbeing and mental health.  These 5-week courses will bring the opportunity to learn about and feel the benefits of Mindfulness.  No special equipment required, just a comfortable place to sit. Look forward to seeing you.

  • Mindfulness Course (Folkestone), Wednesday 5 May – Wednesday 2 June (5 weeks), 11am-12.30pm
  • Mindfulness Course (Dover/Deal), Thursday 6 May – Thursday 3 June (5 weeks), 12-1.30pm

Please have a note book and pen handy for all of these workshops/courses – this would be a useful thing to have to use for any of our sessions – it will help to build a personal toolbox.

If you’d like to book a place on any of these workshops/courses, please phone 01303 250090 or email contact@southkentmind.org.uk
