South Kent Mind are doubly fortunate that National Mind is The Co-op’s Charity of the Year and newly appointed Folkestone & Cheriton Member Pioneer, James Sullivan, is seeking ways to support South Kent Mind, affiliated with the national charity but run independently, for the duration of 2021.
The Co-op, the World’s largest consumer co-operative and the UK’s fifth biggest food retailer, has long made an impact with its social goals and community-led programmes; meeting members’ needs and standing up for the things they believe in.
Their Member Pioneer programme encourages Member Pioneers, like James, to bring together Co-op members, colleagues and local causes and make communities a better place to work, play, live and learn.
A former local primary teacher, James will bring his experience and expertise to the fore and help make a difference to everyone during these challenging times.
Strategies are being formulated but with James’ input South Kent Mind are confident we can reach an ever-wider audience of supporters and continue to deliver critical services and activities to South Kent, which encompasses the districts of Folkestone & Hythe and Dover and is home to almost 250,000 people.
