This winter, we are pleased to offer some practical free-of-charge workshops to help us cope with life, taking place in New Romney. Two workshops will be running back-to-back, with a break in between, on the same day, and we encourage participants to join us for both workshops.

Thurs 11 Nov, 10.30am-12.30pm: Understanding Anxiety, Self Esteem

Understanding Anxiety:

Strangely enough, we do need some level of anxiety in our lives. Join this theory and chat session to learn about why we have anxiety, why it is sometimes helpful, and begin to understand how to go about managing it.

Self Esteem:

Our self esteem is important. How we feel about ourselves can be changed. We’ll take a look at what we can do to raise our self esteem.

Thurs 18 Nov, 10.30am-12.30pm: Assertiveness & Confidence, Goal Setting

Assertiveness & Confidence:

First steps in beginning to work on confidence and being assertive.

Goal Setting:

An exploration of realistic ways to work through issues and set goals.

Thurs 25 Nov, 10.30am-12.30pm: Healthy Sleep, Food & Mood

Healthy Sleep:

Refreshing sleep sets us up for the day. Let’s set a practice to work towards a good sleep pattern.

Food & Mood:

We are what we eat and what we eat really can affect our mood. Let us take a look at what might help.

Please have a note book and pen handy for all of these workshops/courses – this would be a useful thing to have to use for any of our sessions – it will help to build a personal toolbox.

Where?

All of the Coping with Life workshops in November 2021 take place at New Romney Children’s Centre, Craythorne Lane, New Romney TN28 8BL.

Please phone 01303 250090 or email contact@southkentmind.org.uk to book your space.

All of our activities / workshops / trips are open to registered members of South Kent Mind only. If you are not a registered member and you need mental health support, please contact the team at contact@southkentmind.org.uk or phone 01303 250090 to discuss referring into the service. Once you are registered with South Kent Mind and have completed your referral, you will be able to participate in our activities. You can view the South Kent Mind activity calendar here.
