Rotary clubs from the Folkestone district will play a leading role in staging a charity raft race to support frontline mental health services.

The clubs of Hythe, Romney Marsh, Folkestone and Channel will be joined by volunteers from the Scouts, Hythe Town Council and Venetian Fete Society to stage the event on Saturday, 25 June on the Royal Military Canal in Hythe town centre.

Teams of up to six people can build their own raft or borrow one from South Kent Mind to take on rivals along the peaceful canal in the centre of Hythe.

Simon Dolby from South Kent Mind said: “We are delighted to have the support of so many organisations to stage this year’s event and know their expertise will ensure the 2022 raft race is a success.”

Team captains are encouraged to use the discount code RAFTVIP to reduce the booking charge. To find out more visit www.southkentmind.org.uk/raftrace
