Kirsty’s Tough Runner UK Kent Triathlon

Intrepid Kirsty Frost is embarking on her biggest challenge to date by participating in the Tougher Runner UK Kent Triathlon taking place on July 18th 2021 at Brett Lydd Lake, Jurys Gap, Kent. Her gruelling event starts with a 1500m swim, followed by 40km bike ride and finishes with a 10km run. Kirsty is supporting South Kent Mind as she quite rightly feels her local mental health charity is going to be needed now more than ever. Kirsty added ‘This is a massive challenge and the training I am putting into this is also massive. During lockdown I enrolled on a mental health awareness level 2 course which I passed and am now studying for my level 3. This charity is so important to so many peoples life’s and with it being in south Kent money raised will be used in our area.’

If you’d like to help Kirsty through her rigorous training and over the finish line, any and all donations will be very gratefully received via her fundraising page that you can access here.  If you’d like your fundraiser to feature on our wall of fame, and get your ward on the map, get started by clicking on the button below.

Meg’s Million for South Kent Mind

One man and his dog, Meg, are Clocking a Million metres in 2021 to help raise awareness and generate funds for South Kent Mind. With the average UK dog clocking over 1000 miles each year, Meg’s owner, Tom Langlands, realised they were both more than up for the challenge and it was a fun, simple and safe way to make a difference in challenging times. Tom said “We’ve taken our existing routine and given it a dynamic spin that’s created a much needed focus and direction coming out of lockdown.’ With kilometres of all walks tracked on his iPhone’s Health App, Meg & Tom are hoping to hit the million metre target as early as June.

If you’d like to donate to Tom & Meg’s fundraising page, you can do it here. If you’d like your fundraiser to feature on our wall of fame and get your ward on the map get started by clicking on the button below.
