FotoFolkes is an exciting project of photos of the people of Folkestone taken by the people of Folkestone. Anyone from Folkestone’s diverse communities can take part and all levels of photographer are encouraged to take a photo with their phone or camera and email it to Preferably it has to be taken in the Folkestone area and ideally with a person in the photo, (with their permission). The project started in February and for the time being the photos can be seen by visiting @Fotofolkes on Instagram. The Folkestone Museum will be hosting the FotoFolkes exhibition once these difficult times are over. In the meantime the folk of Folkestone can give their walk, run or cycle ride some extra purpose and fun!

The FotoFolkes project aims to encourage all members of the community to come together to celebrate what a great place Folkestone is to live and work especially in these difficult times. The project is funded by Live Well Kent and Folkestone Museum has kindly agreed to work as South Kent Mind’s partner in this project.
