If you are struggling with your mental health and need someone to talk to, there are local support helplines across the Folkestone & Hythe and Dover districts, as well as national helplines available 24/7.

Samaritans

Samaritans is a 24/7, confidential and non-judgmental support service. You can talk to them at any time and in your own way. They are here for anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including thoughts which could lead to self-harm or suicide.

Release the Pressure is a free confidential support helpline available at any time. Expert advice from trained counsellors is available for every mental health concern, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Money worries
  • Relationship troubles
  • Stress
  • Suicidal thoughts

Hestia offers a safe haven telephone service for residents of Folkestone & Hythe district who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
