We thrive on the support of the people and businesses of South Kent. The incredible work that we are able to do is because of the generosity of the people in our community stepping forwards to support those among us who need our help.
Yes, we are always looking for monetary donations to help fund the support and activities that we run, but you can also support us simply by shopping in our charity shops in Cheriton and Hythe – or by volunteering to work in our Folkestone Resource Centre, our Dover Hub, our Charity Shops, or with one of our activity groups.
One of the biggest differences you can make is to help us spread the word – advocate for us and raise awareness of the services we offer. Volunteer your time to fundraise on our behalf; we often have slots in the town-centre or at the local supermarkets whereby we would really appreciate supporters giving up an hour of their time to help us collect donations.
Where Your Money Goes
All activities and services provided outside our core services, such as those which make up the Wellbeing Programme, Counselling Service, etc. rely upon donations, grants, and the fundraising efforts of our local Charity shops, and Centre staff and volunteers.
To sustain the current level of service requires us to raise in the region of £300,000 per annum. A donation of £3.00 will pay for our members to enjoy an individual music lesson or a donation of £7.50 would pay for a member to receive counselling.
