Support for schools and colleges

South Kent Mind supports educational establishments with a range of initiatives and support. These include the Resilience Initiative and Ambassador Programme.

The Resilience Initiative delivers one-to-one support for students as well as a youth version of our ‘Coping with Life’ group workshops on a range of topics including healthy relationships, how food affects food, understanding anxiety, self esteem, healthy sleep, goal setting and problem setting.

The Ambassador Project involves selecting a group of students to receive the youth version of the Coping with Life workshops and to provide outreach opportunities to present a young persons’ perspective on mental health to adults in the business, charity and education sectors. Ambassadors have an opportunity to be videoed with footage published on school websites and South Kent Mind sites.
