Relaxation classes are held every Thursday 2pm until 3pm at the South Kent Mind Centre, 3 Mill Bay, Folkestone and can also be joined via Zoom.

Relaxation is on a four-week rolling programme with sessions as follows:

Session 1 –  An introduction to Mindfulness. What is Mindfulness and how can it help us? We will practice a short mindfulness meditation.

Session 2 –  We will practice progressive muscle relaxation a technique that helps us to recognise where there is tension in our bodies and the importance of checking in with how are bodies are feeling and learning how to relax.

Session 3 –  The benefits of meditation. We are going to explore different types of meditation and will practice positive visualisation and a guided meditation.

Session 4 –  Relaxation & creativity

There are only a certain number of spaces in the face-to-face group, so please book early. To book, email contact@southkentmind.org.uk or phone 01303 250090. For those who cannot attend in class, Mind members can also join via Zoom.

To become a Mind member please phone us on 01303 250090 or email us at contact@southkentmind.org.uk to book a telephone or face-to-face referral appointment.
